Located in Kent, Ohio, Bell Tower Brewing Co. is a craft brewery rooted in tradition with a mindset of experimentation. Reference partnered with founders Ryan and Bridget Tipton to develop the brewery’s logo, brand identity, packaging and signage. Drawing inspiration from the building’s origins as a church and its distinct architectural details, the identity honors the reverence for tradition embedded in Bell Tower’s physical space while reflecting its forward-thinking brewing ethos.

The logotype embodies the brand’s balance of past and present—a modern typeface structured to feel as though it could have been chiseled in stone.
The color palette further draws from the warmth of the brewery’s interior and the natural ingredients used in the brewing process.
The building’s main sign is corten—designed to age alongside the building.
